Micheal Loenne Title: A Thom Sebastiani principle for braid monodromy and divisor knot groups Abstract: The talk will address the problem of divisor knot groups, i.e. fundamental groups of divisor complements, in a particular setting. The divisor is given as the graph of a function which is the sum of functions in independent sets of variables. We will relate the braid monodromies of the summands with the braid monodromy of the sum, thereby obtaining a presentation of the divisor knot group. Time permitting, we will give applications to discriminant knot groups.
