Intelligence of Low Dimensional Topology 2007 and Extended KOOK Seminar

Osaka, Japan

August 29 - September 1, 2007

The joint conference ``Intelligence of Low Dimensional Topology 2007'' (ILDT) and the Extended KOOK Seminar took place at Osaka City University, Osaka, Japan,  during August 29 -- September 1, 2007, as a part of the research project "Constitution of wide-angle mathematical basis focused on knots" (Akio Kawauchi, the project reader), and the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) in 2004 ``Research on $4$-dimensional topology from the viewpoint of graphics and quandle theory (17340017)'' (Seiichi Kamada).

This is the 5th of the series of conferences ``Intelligence of Low Dimensional Topology".  It  follows the preceding series of conferences ``Art of Low Dimensional Topology'' organized by Akio Kawauchi (Osaka City University) and Toshitake Kohno (University of Tokyo), and is organized also by Seiichi Kamada (Hiroshima University) from this new series.  The aim of this conference is to promote research in low-dimensional topology with the focus on knot theory and related topics.

There were 19 lectures and 124 participants.
The organizers were Taizo Kanenobu and Seiichi Kamada.

Seiichi Kamada,    December 2007
