There are several ways to visit Higashi-Hiroshima, where Hiroshima University is located, from these airports.

from Narita International Airport to Hiroshima Airport
- by Air: Narita Airport is linked to Hiroshima Airport by ANA (All Nippon Airways), but only one round-trip flight a day.
- by Airport Limousine + Air:
- Take a bus from Narita to Haneda, the other airport in Tokyo Area. Airport Transport Service operates a frequent bus service between these two airports. ANA and JAL(Japan Airlines) operate several flight services between Haneda and Hiroshima.
- from Hiroshima Airport to Hiroshima University
- by Bus+Train+Bus - 1hour or more
- Take a bus or a taxi to JR Shiraichi Station from the airport - approximately 10 to 15 minutes' ride- and then take westbound local train to Saijo Station, the second stop from Shiraichi Station - 10 minutes' ride. There is a regular bus service from Saijo Station to the University. Take a bus to Hirodai-Chuo-Guchi, the nearest bus stop to the buildings of the Faculty of Science.
- by Taxi - 30-40 minutes
- Taking a taxi directly through to Hiroshima University is another choice if you would like to save time and avoid making troublesome changes. It costs around 6000 yen as of 2004.
- (2) from Narita International Airport to Higashi-Hiroshima Station (by train)
- JR (Japan Railway) operates a flequent service called 'Narita Express' between Narita Airport and Tokyo Station. At Tokyo Station take a westbound Shinkansen Express called 'Nozomi' or 'Hikari' to Okayama or Fukuyama, and there take 'Kodama' Express to Higashi-Hiroshima, the nearest Shinkansen Station from Hiroshima University.
from Higashi-Hiroshima Station to the University- You cannot expect a frequent bus service to Hiroshima University. We recommend you to use a taxi. The fare is around 2000 yen as of 2004
- (3) from Narita International Airport to Saijo Station (by train)
- Take a 'Narita Express' to Tokyo Station, and there change your Narita Express for a westbound Shinkansen 'Nozomi' or 'Hikari'. At Okayama or Fukuyama take a westbound Shinkansen 'Kodama' to Mihara, and there take a westbound local train to Saijo Station.
- from Saijo Staion to the University
- There is a regular bus service from Saijo Station to Hiroshima University. Take a bus bound for Hiroshima University to Hirodai-Chuo-Guchi, the nearest bus stop to the buildings of the Faculty of Science.
- (4) from Kansai International Airport to Higashi-Hiroshima Station
- There is a flequent express service called 'Haruka' from Kansai International Airport to JR Shin-Osaka Station. At Shin-Osaka take a westbound Shinkansen to Higashi-Hiroshima.
from Higashi-Hiroshima Station to the University- You cannot expect frequent bus service to Hiroshima University. We recommend you to use a taxi. The fare is around 2000 yen as of 2004
- (5) from Kansai International Airport to Saijo Station
- Take a 'Haruka' express to JR Shin-Osaka Station, and there take a westbound Shinkansen Express 'Nozomi' or 'Hikari' to Okayama or Fukuyama. Change your Nozomi/Hikari for 'Kodama' there. At Mihara take a westbound local train to Saijo.
from Saijo Station to the University- There is a regular bus service from Saijo Station to Hiroshima University. Take a bus bound for Hiroshima University to Hirodai-Chuo-Guchi, the nearest bus stop to the buildings of the Faculty of Science.
