Research (Seiichi Kamada)

My research area is topology (geometric topology-- knot theory, low dimensional topology), especially 2-dimensional knots, 2-dimensional braids and 4-manifolds. 
I am working on knotted surfaces and their quandle homological invariants with J. Scott Carter, Masahico Saito, Shin Satoh and Kanako Oshiro, virtual knot theory with Naoko Kamada, 4-dimensional topology with Takao Matumoto, Lefschetz fibrations with Yukio Matsumoto, and 2-dimensional knot theory with Akio Kawauchi, etc.
